Thank you, Mary, for your comments that underline what the story of Jake and his grandma captures: the human experience of a child and that child's family as they, together, live their lives with someone dear to them who is living with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.

I have just watched your youtube video, with tears of memories of my mother who died May 30th at the Glebe Centre, and My Dad who passed in 2006 at the Glebe. Both were well taken care of at the Glebe, their "home". Your book is well written for young children, (and their family), as my grandchildren must have had the same feelings when they visited Greatgramma. You have captured the essence of reality, many families will find solace in reading your book. I hope to have your book available for our organization Conference, as many of them work with Alzheimers clients and their families, and will be happy to share with the families. Thank you for your efforts on our behalf, Good luck in future projects.

Dear JC,

I loved your article about Alzheimer's and children! For almost two years, I have been toying with the idea of writing an article on Alzheimer's but it was too touchy. My dad died in the last stages of Alzheimer's; my mother has Alzheimer's also. There are two more cases in the family.

But your article touched me and gave me the incentive to write about it. You can read it in TNP and Canaan Connexion this weekend.

Thank you!
Alberte
